It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, hell, it’s been a while since I’ve done anything on this blog. The other day I was inspired to write some thoughts about the world through the eyes of a comic book. Well, today I’m going to write about some songs that make my ears happy. The topic may not be as profound, but I still enjoy it none the less.
I’ve been a fan of Jonny Craig since 2006. I’ve seen him in concert more times than I can count. Sometimes with bands and sometimes solo but I never leave disappointed. This band “Old Flame” is Jonny’s latest music endeavor. Hopefully he can stay clean and continue to put incredible music.
I first heard about Holding Absence through the song “Afterlife” but this song resonated with me way more. If I had to pick a song that defines my 2024 music taste it would be this song.
I bought my first alexisonfire album (vinyl) the other day and it was after falling in love with this song. I’ve also been listening to alexisonfire since 2006 and they have maintained the status of my favorite band. I’m so glad almost 20 years later the boys are still together and once day I’m going to see them in their homeland of Canada.
